So, this morning, I was snuggling with my adorable little baby in bed, enjoying the nice, lazy Sunday morning where we don't have to go to church until 1:00...and he reached up to touch my face...
And THIS happened!!! I don't know if you can see the details, but he DREW BLOOD, people. Really?
it's always, almost no matter what they're doing, a good thing they're cute. and it's a really good thing you grow to love them as much as you do before they start teething. there's a method to all this maddness.
Ouch! Scratches are no fun. I was sad I didn't get to see you over Memorial weekend while I was in Snowflake, but am glad you had fun in California. Hopefully I will be able to see you during the Pioneer days celebration in July and then I can meet your cute baby.
I trimmed his nails right after that little incident...but I'm always so paranoid I'm going to hurt him. However, after that, I figured even if I did cut them too short, I would still probably hurt him less than he would hurt himself if I let them get any longer. Sigh.
I have to trim Charlotte's nails every other week, because hers grow so fast and she marks her face up so badly. Good thing babies heal quickly. I trim her names in her sleep, it is so much easier. I also use the tiny nail sissors because they are a little safer then the tweeze ones for me. I am so sorry for your cut. It is a good thing babies are so cute. It was so being with you last month.
