Siiigghhh...

This isn't my actual stomach, in case you couldn't tell...

I've gained 11 pounds in the past three weeks alone. Sigh. And although I had a vague hope that I would perhaps get lucky, in those past three weeks, I got a BAJILLION stretch marks to go along with the fabulous weight gain. No kidding.

Oh, well. Such is pregnant life.

:( I feel your pain... During the last few weeks is when my wedding ring stopped fitting, strangers started rubbing my belly, feet started swelling. All the things I thought I'd avoided came in the last few weeks.

I never would've guessed you'd gained 11 lbs. You look FABULOUS!!! All baby! I can't wait to meet him!

darn those last few weeks. they ruin everything! they heal quicker then you expect them to so don't worry! And you DO look fabulous! Seriously, you ARE the cutest pregnant woman I have ever met. No lie!

I thought I was doing everything I could to prevent stretch marks myself with Franklin, but within the last 3 days before he was born I got the majority of my stretch marks, so not cool. Then to top it off, when I delivered him, I got even more. Don't worry, you're getting yours now, so you won't get a zillion more like I did when I delivered Franklin.

It all goes away...the stretch marks fade...your belly deflates...I mean...it's never really the same again...but that's just what happens when you become a mom I guess...you're never the same again!

LOVE kelly's comment! :) too funny!

...oh...and when I delivered Kaitlyn...I pushed so hard that I broke blood vessels in my neck and face! It seriously looked like someone had beat me up!

Hi Jewel! I know how you feel. From one weekly appointment to the next I gained like 6 lbs one time. To make it worse, I had taken the stairs to the Dr. so my blood pressure was up. They sent me right to the lab to take blood to see if something was wrong. Nope, I'd just had a few good meals. I also thought I was doing good with the stretch marks until I delivered. Then I could see what was under my belly. It was a little bit saddening, I have to say. But it all goes with the territory. Hopefully you don't have someone (like my dad) bragging to you that his mom never had any stretch marks and neither did mine.

Jewel, you are joining the ranks of many, many mommies! It will all seem like such a small moment and small sacrifice with a little time! The results are so worth it.
Yep, we now await yours and Else's news...hope your baby shower was fun.I thought of you Saturday and knew both of your were having your baby showers. Wish we could have come to yours, too! Love you, Aunt Debi
